I know its so weird! The worst thing is I could have prevente the fry from getting it.. An adult molly had it and I let it slep as SBD.. Now I feel horrible!

Hmm... what's whirling disease? My mom had a guppy that died, and it was acting very strangely beforehand.

Aw, I'm sorry. That's horrible :(

Rant: My mom has her ten gallon up, and she unfortunately follows the policy of "I'm just going to ignore this and hope it goes away" regarding cycling. I'm afraid that's what a few of her guppies have died of. Spikes of some sort. And the other day she changed most of her water to stuff without the pH tabs in it, and one of her tetras died. It was, of course, my fault because I didn't tell her that they needed to acclimate.

I agree, and its such a shock! I'm a bit relieved though, it says it doesn't affect bettas as long as the temperatures are good.. I'm still cleaning out the tank like a crazy person tomorrow.. Any sterilising tips?
