Betta lost color

Ever since I bred my female she hasn't had her color back, and she looks the worst today. It has been about a week since I bred them. During the breeding process she got bit in the side and on her nose. I asked earlier this week for advice and I took her out of the tank and put some salt in the bowl I had her in. She was in the bowl for about 5 days and during two of those days she got her color back. Ever since yesterday she has lost her color again. She is normally a dark blue with red fins but now she looks brown with light red fins. I can see through her very easily and she looks very dull. She also has that white horizontal stripe across her again. She is swimming, eating, and acting fine though, which is why I'm confused.

Is she eating? Is she clampy? Most importantly, is she healing from her nips?

She is eating, not clamping, and is healing fast which is why I'm confused! Her color is returning, but she seems to have that horizontal stripe on and off. The stripe is a sign of stress or bad water conditions, right?

Usually, yes. But there are always exceptions. Fellow poster Echo has a female who always has a stripe. Does your girl just have the one stripe running from her eye to her tail? Perhaps because she spawned her hormones are different and causing the stripe to appear where her lateral line is. Does she act skittish or extra jumpy at all?

She doesn't act any different at all, and she gets one thick bar.

Maybe her lateral line is showing because she spawned or because her hormones are weird right now. If she's not acting like she's sick, I guess the only thing you can really do is watch her like a hawk. Hopefully it will go away in time. Just feed her well and keep her warm and I think she should be fine.
