so i got a 20g to upgrade my 10g, and really made a mess of cycling it.
I added a bag of new gravel, 1/4 cup seasoned substrate, 5 gallons of old water from the 10g as well as vacuumings off it's gravel to make ammonia, 2 clumps of java fern, and heres the problem- 2 pill shaped sinking cory pellets
the pellets got
SAPROLEGNIA
Then they broke appart into a million pieces of icky.
what have i done so far?
last night i did a 75% WC and vacuum, today i did a 50% and a vacuum, scrubbed the ferns as they gathered a lot of the stuff in the leaves and roots ( still has some)
rinsed out filter cartridge
turned heat up a bit as i read its a cold water fungus
theres still the odd floaty, i'l prolly do another WC in a bit to chase after them
what else you think i need to do before its safe to move everyone in? i should have just bagged the fish, and dumped all thier water/substrate straight into the 20g.... /sigh
Oh and what i have now is 1 CT male and 3 pepper cories + a clam
gonna get 3 more cories for my current ones to feel happier
should i get neon tetras or cherry barbs?
