Question Questions on Black Ghost Knife Fish behavior.

I was just wondering if anyone has any BGKF's of their own and wanted to see if they could answer some questions about some noticed behavior of one.

I have a friend who just got a BGKF and its been fine for the past few days, but she noticed recently that is been staying on the bottom of the tank and laying on his side, not really moving.
I know that these fish tend to be somewhat nocturnal so I/her werent sure if its just sleeping and this is normal behavior or something to worry about.

It's not my tank, so i'm not sure on the tank parameters or levels, but i do know that its in a 10g, filtered, unheated tank. The tank mates are a common pleco, a tiger barb, red tail shark, and dinosaur bichir. The bichir and the barb were just added the other day and it was after that that the BGKF started showing the behavior. She just did a full water change to the tank, (i believe at the same time as adding the barb and the bichir).

And before it becomes a big concern, she does realize that the tank is over stocked, all the fish are just babies and are going to be changed to a 55g within a week or two. The bichir and barb were given to her and so this is just a temporary set up until the bigger tank is ready for them.
