great job in helping that poor boy, 100% improvement and looking adorable!

dirty fish water, that's it? I say we feed to that sick individual all the fish poo we can find, especially the whitish parasitic ones would be most valuable !

I see lots of new growth indeed, I find it quite amazing how fast the fins can grow back once they are in good water!

It is very true how they persevere under good care! I had a thread earlier regarding mine with a broken segment of the fins and the silly guy went and fused the two exposed sides together in no time lol and now the broken segment is trying to grow and so he has got a little "ponytail" sticking out on the side of his fused fin lol Oh well...whatever works for him I guess!

Hey guys, thanks for all your lovely messages :D

I need an opinion... Right now Mali is sharing a 5G with my HMDbT, Skittles, but I'm just a little concerned about Skittles requiring a larger area to swim around (and turn, lol) because of his large fins.

I've got a 1G unfiltered cube (with a lid and light) that I have lying around (it was where I first had Mali in the first two pictures). Mali is a small guy (barely over 1") and I was wondering if I should put him back in the 1G cube and open up the 5G for Skittles?

They both don't mind each other's presence (And I feel a little bad for moving Mali because he seems to enjoy the 2.5G he has) but I was wondering what you guys would do ><"

Do you think you can get another 5g in the near future? If so, you could give the whole 5g to Skittles and put tiny Mali in the 1g for now (water changes every other day, of course) until you get another 2-5g tank for him (Mali, that is).

No I won't be able to get any tanks in the near future ><""... I think I'm just going to move the divider over a bit so Skittles gets a little more space :/

Haha, playing favorites. I do think if worse came to worse Mali would be okay in the 1g. It's just the water changes that might drive you nuts.

I had a fish with a tail like that...two actually. The male jumped out and died but the female is looking great now.

I think I would try the 1 gallon and see how he likes it. I put my HM in a 1 gallon to give another fish some time in the 5 gallon but I guess he wasnt too happy with it and started tail bitting Ive tried everything to get him to stop, even put him in a 10 gallon all alone but nope. still bites
