I've named him "Chill" because he is the most laid back (almost comatose) betta I've ever owned.
When I got him at PetSmart, he was flaring at another male most spectacularly... alert and active. He seemed to have a warrior's soul.
Since he's been home, he hides or floats motionless... you'd swear he's dead. But mostly he's sleeping or staring at me.
He's a pretty boy... a HM Placket, I think, pale white/silver blue-ish with yellow insets in his fins, and a touch of iridescent mint green at the base of his tail (I've got a yellow female I'd like to mate him with someday... but, I'm getting ahead of myself).
Chill comes to life at feeding time. He's a about 5 months old from the look of him. He's eating guppy pellets at the moment and seems to like them (very tiny, so he can eat them).
It's strange... but every female I've brought home has been active and outgoing from the start. This little guy is sooooooo different!
Again, he's not ill. He's in the same treated water as my other fish. He's staring at me again... lol,,, he's a weird one...
