I know, my little rescue Finn, the betta with fin rot SO bad he has no fins left makes bubble nests everyday, then at night I destroy them when I takehim out to do a 100% water change... I always feel so bad because he goes through so much touble mking them (its hard for him to swim)
And Im sorryfor your loss, it always tough loosing one of these little guys, but you gave her a good life and she was happy

My other betta lived with my boyfriend, and I'd visit him whenever I could. Then, he got sick, and I no longer trusted him with his care. So, I took him home with me, and he didn't make it. =[ It's really easy to get attached to bettas. They have the cutest little eyes and so much personality for such tiny fish.

Females make bubble nests? I learn something new every day.

Maybe just special females make bubble nests? I didn't really know that, either. Lol. Turbo still hasn't made another bubble nest. =[ But there seem to be quite a few bubbles floating around in his tank.. Is it possible that he's going to put them together and make a new one? =]

not every female makes them. Caroline's the only female i've ever had, who actually made a bubble nest. Freya, my CT gal, made little lines of bubbles, but that was it. Caroline made this tiny little nest every few weeks, then she would let out her eggs and eat them. she'd put a few in the nest and tend to it, but it'd be gone the next day. x:
