Does this Betta look sick?

I was wondering if this Betta looks sick. He eats a lot and swims around the tank and loves to hang out by the filter with the strong current. Reason I am not sure is because of his fins.

He looks fine to me as well. I don't think youhave anything to worry about :)

What made you concerned about the fins?
The only thing I can't tell from a still photo is whether or not the fins are soft and flowing or whether they are more rigid, stiff.
My niece had a betta that got sick, his fins looked fine except they didn't move much as he swam around.
Doing a quick test holding up a mirror is he able to fan everything out still?
Not for too long though, it will stress him out !
Behaviour sounds perfectly healthy though, I'm just curious what your concern was.

His fins look like they might have some fin rot but I don't know if I am actually looking at fin rot. But his fins are soft and flowing so I guess there is nothing wrong with him.

how long have you had this betta? everytime i bought a new vieled tail they were the same way. its because of the way the lfs store the fish in stagnent water. if he like the current hell biuld up some strength. he prob. wont flare out for no reason but youll see him use the top fins some more over time.

I have now had him for over a week and he looks 1000x better. What I thought was fin rot is now gone and he is lot more colorful. His top fin is in use a lot and he is loving the stronger current of the new Penguin 150.
