My betta won't eat as well?

Ok I got my male red halfmoon at petsmart two days ago, every time I feed my tetramin tropical flakes in, my mollies go nuts, my guppies eat ok, it's just my betta tank a look at the food and just watch it sink as it hesitate to go for it, every time it takes a bite, it spits out into half. Is this called eating for betta? After 5 minutes, my family members says it is swimming around the tank eating the leftover food bits. Help!???

Sometimes Bettas wont eat flakes. Try pellets.

^ I agree. Flakes will make bettas bloat and possibly get a swim bladder issue. Try pellets or even live/frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp!
