Sorority Tank Question

So I have a pretty simple question.
I have two tank I am considering for a sorority.
Both are 20g at least. One I know is a 20 the other may be more (hard to tell how it is shaped more on that in a second)
Here is my question. What would be better the for sure 20 that is shorter, wider, and not as long, or the taller, thinner, and longer? I think the taller one is 20 to 30 I haven't gotten it town off the shelf to test it yet. It used to be my snakes old home you see so I don't know the gal.

Which would be better for the sorority?

I'd go with whatever one is larger; the more space the better! ;)
See if you can get measurements and poke around online to see how large the unknown one is.

personally I would pick the longer, shorter one. But I suppose the fish may want the one with more room

I would go with the long one. My girls are always at the top and barely really hang out around the bottom of the tank.

Here are the dimension of the tanks

the tall long - 36L 10W 16D
the 20 - 30L 13W 12D

So I am guessing the tall is a 25g

That tall one is just slightly under 25 gallons, like literally 0.06 less. I don't know why I said that, but it's 25 gallons XD

If you need to find out how much gallons one thing holds, the formula LxWxH divided by 231
