I would just go with conditioned water. I also have high PH and was using 1/2 tap and 1/2 distilled. Contrary to what people say, they did very well in that water. I think I was using betta bowl plus conditioner at that time.

This is what my guy looked like, for comparison to yours...







He was gone a few hours later and I wonder if I would of slowly changed out the water if he would of made it

Oh wow Tiki! That bright green ammonia reading.. eeep! :/ So sorry for your little guy.

I am definitely starting the water change tonight... but will do so very... very gradually... i just so happened to buy a dropper not too long ago. :)

Unfortunately, Milo did not make it. He was alive this morning, but I just checked on him and he has passed. RIP little guy.

I'm sorry, Smellie. It's always tough when we bring home these very sick rescues, isn't it? But at least you know you did your best and he died in clean water surrounded by love. Every fish deserves at least a tiny bit of happiness in its life and Milo was lucky enough to get that happiness with you.
