UGH! My dad is being so aggravating! I raised 100$ and have been searching like a blood hound for the best deals on a 20 gallon tank. I would have paid for it myself and maintained it myself and he says I can't get one! Are you kidding me I have waisted a ton of my time trying to find a tank for my fish and HE SAYS NO! I am so frustrated I walked upstairs and immediately came to this >:( He said he would have to think about letting me get a 10 gallon! I have a 5 right now and want to upgrade because I have really been hooked on having an aquarium of my own! Sorry if this makes me seem selfish I am just angry :(

I get to wait till March for my birthday. Except no one knows exactly when I was born so I suppose I could chnage it if I wanted. Hmmm . . .

No, it doesn't make you seem selfish since you raised the money to pay for it yourself. Selfish would have been expecting someone else to pay for it. Have you asked your dad why he won't let you have a bigger tank? Maybe if the two of you can discuss it reasonably, he'll understand you are responsible and will do a good job taking care of it. Although I do realize sometimes it's hard to have a "reasonable" conversation with your parents. And I realize parents feel the same way about having a "reasonable" conversation with their kids. :) But definitely try to talk to him. Try not to get angry because that will only make it worse. Trust me, I know. Just ask him what his concerns are and ask him how you can prove you'll be responsible. Good luck!

Because he's a dad. It's like they have to freak out about something every now and then. I think it's in the rule book, hahaha.

Platy- yeah just let things calm down take a deep breath and think on how you can reasonable explain your side of things to him. Do not get up set or sarcastic. Just be kind listen to what he has to say and try to work things out ^_^

March 7, or at least that is the date that was picked for me. All the rest of my family are in the summer. Dad Aug 14. Brother Aug 28. Mom Sept. 25.
