I meant that there was something in the news about a peacock that looked like a male. Usually the girls are brown with very short tail feathers and the guys have these long, beautiful and colorful feathers on their tail. I was comparing this to there ever being a female betta fish that had long and colorful fins.... As I said before, females only have short fins, never long. If there was a situation where a female was born and she grew up to have the long fins of, for example, your betta Nova, I think breeders would try desprately to breed more females with long fins using her genetics.

2-3 pellets a day is enough. Bloodworms are good as a treat once, maybe twice, a week.
Betta fish can and will eat themselves to death if they're given too much food. Not a pretty picture in the end, I guarantee you that.

So today I plan on doing the first water change. Should I do a full change or 50%. Just wonder because the water is a little haze.

If you just got him day before yesterday, and he's in a 2.5 gal, you really don't need to do a water change just yet. There is such a thing as too clean of water. 2 50% changes a week is good. One water, one substrate. Maybe even a lil less if you have a filter.

3-4 pellets a day is good, the FD blood worms 2-3 worms, 1-2 times a week. The pea, some say it's not actually good to feed to fish, others use it. But since he has eaten for you already, wouldn't use it, no need. He will eat in time, just have to let him rest some....
