If you aren't properly prepared with months upon months of extensive research, aren't willing to invest quite a bit of time and money to get the things necessary and be sure you do it properly, don't have a plan for where the 100+ possible fry can go when they get older, don't have a specific breeding goal in mind when you start out....

Then no.

If you do you research, are willing to invest all the money and extensive time, have a plan for the fry, and have a goal you would like to breed towards...

Then sure.

Like stated before, you must have time, knowledge, money and a plan. If you do yes. Otherwise no. This however is not something that can be neglected. Once you start you have to go through with it.

It can be a wonderful hobby to get into but can be very expensive. If you are interested in breeding someday then I would suggest researching until your brain hurts. lol Like Dragonfish and jman said, you should have a goal in mind and a plan. Also, if you are a very busy person (school, work, hanging out with friends, homework, etc) then you might not want to get into breeding because it takes time to cultivate your food, feed the fry and change water and clean tanks.
