Yes, Prime is a good choice, however, you will still get the false ammonia reading with it too....ammonium is the harmless form-but can still be used by the nitrifying bacteria to cycle the tank...
I'm going with fishless. I have a marimo ball, but it wouldn't be enough with my fish to do a fish-in/plant cycle. I'm leaving the marimo ball and fish out and just gonna get the tank to cycle with fish food.
