Question hopefully this isn't stupid question....

I just got a 14 gallon tank, and I was wondering, since its pretty big and I'm going to have a bunch of plants in it... Is it possible to have 1 male betta and a few females?

Honestly, I don't think that's big enough. I just looked over to my 10g and 20g to figure out the general size of your tank... and even the 20g isn't big enough.

You could put a sorority in there, for sure. I'd say... 7 females total?
Or a male and some community fish.
Just not a male and females... bigger tank first. Much bigger.

It's not really recommended to put a male in with females. A lot of things could go wrong reallyyy quickly.
You could just do females- I think they look just as pretty. Or, if it's a 14 long, you could divide it for 4-5 males. :)

Its a biocube, lol. I originally got it for my guy Suzu. I felt bad that he's in a 1 gallon so I got him a 14 gallon :)

Quite the upgrade you did for him. x)
You've gotta be the best person in the world right now to him, by doing that.

Awww! You could split it in half, I think. I really don't know the size in relation to my hand, but it looks like it *might* be able to be divided 2-3 ways.

No, you can't put a male in with several females.

I would divide the tank (you can do it yourself with crafting mesh) if you want to put male and female in it. It's large enough that you have some room - 5 gallons for the male, 9 gallons for a sorority of females (keep in mind that a sorority really needs at least 5 fish to keep aggression levels low). It would be tight for the girls though.

Maybe divide it evenly with 1 male on each side, or a male on one side and 1 female on the other side.

Or, stick with your original plan and give him the whole glorious thing to himself :)
