I dont know all of that. O.o
-5gal tank at about 79* or 80*
-Once a week water change, about 25%, guess i should do more. XP
-Tank is pretty new, I think I set it up/got the fish in July
-Substrate is about an inch and a half, its just the purple/blue gravel
http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...26amp%3B+Bowls Here is my tank so you can see the type of filter. Its set lowest so there isnt much water agitation. Havent seen a need to baffle it as it is...maybe i'm wrong?
-Theres one betta and one nerite snail
-There isnt really much uneaten food, i dont feed him more than he eats. What does fall I leave it till i change the water cause I thought it might help with the cycling. :/
-I have two amazon swords, one java fern, and a marimo ball
-The bulb is 9 watts... Idk about the kelvin stuff.
-Photoperiod... lets see... light is on for over 13 hours sometimes. O.o never actually counted that XP bad ninja. ><

Poor water flow and high nutrients can cause BAG...get a vacuum and suck all the BGA out that you can and make 50% water change daily if you have to.....

If you can increase the water flow rate...do that too....check your filter media and make sure it isn't clogged.....I would go ahead and give the filter media a rinse/swish in old tank water or dechlorinated water.....

ok. the only problem with more frequent water changes is that i dont have an excess of water available... i'm at my college dorm and the tap water is chlorinated, will it be ok with just water conditioner? XP

XP as soon as i get my bike rack or something i'll be able to ride down to the grocery store down the road, i just dont have a way of carrying them atm. maybe i'll have to bother my friends with cars to take me. >< ugh i hate not having a car.
