Cool Old Spongebob vs. New Spongebob?

Spongebob has changed a LOT over the years, in my opinion right after the Spongebob Squarepants Movie was made, so around 2004. Personally I like the old episodes WAY better. The art was a lot better, now they look too clean-cut and fake. And the humor was more subtle and older kids could understand it. So what is your opinion? Old or New?

Spongebob is no longer for kids. My sweetheart did a film course and the term for the type of humor is called "crumbs for mums" which I find hilarious!! The show is geared towards kids but the jokes are above a child's understanding so the parents like it too. I personally like the old ones too. I LOVE spongebob!! I only got sick of the movie bc I gave it to my neice and she played it over and over and over and over.

I love the Goofy Goober ROCK song! I love the subtleties and Patrick <3

i also miss how they would say something, then it would show something from real-life, like a sea captain giving a thumbs-up, or a spilled milk carton. this is because the old writers left, but they are supposed to reunite for the remainder of season 8. thank GOD.

lol, you could always hire tutors given they avoid sponge bob from now on. the article said that this probably has the same effect with other fast paced action cartoons. im more for looney toons and bugs bunny and friends even at 25yrs old. those shows still make me rotflmao. i still watch it once in a while but not on any regular basis.

I watched the old spongebob when it first came out. Heck I watched the pilot air. However the new episodes actually creep me out ^^;;
