I *think* I've figured out the problem

I'm under the impression that Astrotrain (previously Skywarp) is in love with my dragon Jazz. Her QT tank is right up next to Jazz's tank and despite his sight issues, whenever her towel is down he crams himself between his plants to see out that side of his tank. And Astro will happily flit around and flash her fins and make her colors all bright for him and display her breeding bars.

When the towel goes up, Jazz goes and lays in his house and mopes. Astro lays at the bottom of her bowl and mopes.

I don't know if that explains her not eating but it's just something I've noticed. If Jazz isn't there, she lays at the bottom of her tank, she's only active when she's showing off. I guess that means she's not unhealthy but I'm not really sure what it means otherwise. And even if we had the means to care for fry at the moment, which we don't, I get the feeling it's a pretty bad move to just plunk them together and expect them to play nice 'cause they "love each other"...

Anybody ever had lovesick fish? >.<

maybe just leave the towel down .. for a day (pick a day u have lots of time to monitor them) .. and monitor how they are .. so you can just leave the towel down for good =)

Take down the towel, light a candle with their feeding and I would have to agree on Banicks suggestion of Barry White
