And Miyazawa, from what I've heard there's a difference between ich and fin rot. Ich IS caused by a parasite and looks like small white spots that look like salt on the fish like these

Fin rot is where the outer edge along the fin gets eaten away. The edge can look dark or light where it's infected like these

If that answers your question?

UPDATE: I have put Spud into a QT tank. It's half a gallon, so I added half the amount of Stress Coat (I hope that was right). He's swimming around and flaring (which he hasn't done in a few days so improvement right?? :) ) Unfortunately the shape of both tanks doesn't make putting one into the other a valid option. I will try my best to try that again tomorrow. For now they are in the living room (the warmest room in the apt and the one with the most sunlight). I hope this goes well.

I was just curious that MisterMom used one medication to treat both ick and fin rot since one is bacterial infection and one is parasite infection but i guess it worked :D

Thanks MistersMom I actually have that stuff, it's part of my little emergency kit (work in progress) that I have on stand by just in case of anything. It's supposedly really strong from what I read on the bottle.
