White cloud mountain fish and bettas?

I was in one of my usual stores today and saw a tank full of white cloud mountain fish. They looked so pretty, I decided I wanted to get them one day. My 20 gallon is DEFINITELY too full for a school of them, but I'm planning on getting another tank of at least 20 gallons in the next few months. I was wondering how these fish would do with a betta, since I'm debating putting one in that tank.

the thing with these fish is that they are from colder water 62-75 so ur betta would be a little cold and ur minnows a little hot

Ah, that would rule them out then, definitely... I was going to make the tank a tropical community tank, with the possibility of adding a male betta lol

You could do then, but they prefer lower temperatures, even at 80F they do just fine, they're adjustable but their life span might be shortened.

I wouldn't want to potentially shorten their lifespan. I'll stick with Neon tetras for my smallish schooling fish :) Thanks though!
