cycling 55 gallon question

I have my dragon goby in his 10 gallon right now..It is fully cycled and has a 20 gallon filter on it..

Eventually I would like to move Carl over to his big home..lol...The 55 gallon is up and running but not cycled yet....

If I take the filter media from the 20 gallon filter and place it into the filter on my 55 gallon would the 55gallon be cycled?
The only fish going into the 55 gallon is my dragon goby.

Also,
here is carl:

To answer the question no it wouldn't be cycled. Just adding the filter media from the 20 would speed along the process. You would still need to cycle the tank.
