We have eggs...

So, I introduced them little by little and released her today. They played for a bit and after only 15 mins they began. I watched for an hour or so he they were pretty confused. lol. But I left the house for 4 hrs and came back to maybe 25 - 30 eggs? I wasn't sure if I am now supposed to take her out or if I should leave them alone to continue. She has torn up his anal fin pretty badly. But she seems fine.

Advice? Leave her in for a little while more or take her out now? How do I know when they are done?

If they are still "dancing" leave her in... but if she's in hiding I would take her out.

Well, she will zoom around him but she's not going under the next anymore. They seem mad at each other at this point. Not sure if he is just in guarding mode or what but if she gets near the nest he chases her out fast.

Most definitely take her out. That's how my bettas acted afterwards.

and maybe the tank and the set up you have?

Again, Congratulations. This is ALOT of fun and VERY exciting.. LOTS of hard work and expensive but TOTALLY worth it. (and my fry are only 3 weeks old)

I have taken her out. He is in there guarding and moving stuff around. I have the BBS hatchery going...well, getting ready. Posting a new Q about that shortly.
