My miracle fish would be Hughie. When I saw him at the pet store, he was upside down in his little tank and not moving. I tapped on the glass and he righted himself and tried to swim to me. He had severe SBD to the point where he was too weak to keep himself upright. He couldn't eat or leave the surface. I managed to get him for $2.50, bettas are $7 here and took him home. I didn't think he would make it, so I named him before I left the store. Being new to Bettas, I had no confidence in my fish keeping so I figured he was a goner. But with 10days of Epsoms salts, frozen food and a thermometer he would wedge himself between to save his energy, he's now a happy healthy boy that's been with me since June :) I saved others from near death but Hughie was the most far gone.

I know! I've always thought it was neat to see how much they can color up and change when they're in decent conditions in the store, and this change was so much bigger than that. Ashke started to color up within a couple of days. Lavan was striped up for a couple of weeks and I really had no clue what color he'd wind up as. Ashke actually has kind of a coppery greenish iridescence I have to try and get a better pic of

Thank You.

I was super excited when she finally colored up and turned YELLOW. Yellow seems to be a hard to find color here - -then again petco and walmart are my only options
