Some fish just make tiny nests and work at it or hide them under silk plants. Before Kai started to get sick he would build them up under a silk plant until it stuck up out of the water...Lelouch well..I'm genuinely surprised with him. When he bubblenests he takes it a bit...Oddly? If you mess it up just slightly he will spend hours until the entire top of the tank is full of bubbles. I kid you not.

Just give your boy time he may get the hang of it.

Aww. Man, I tried that thing with a spoon, to get some of Hermes's bubbles out of his tank before a water change today and I added a new broad leafed silk plant for him to hopefully continue his nest under. He explored around a little bit then slowly swam up to me as he *slowly* started flaring his gills like "Would you PLEASE leave so I can explore?" Haha, what a character. :3
