anyone use this heater?

so i'm rehoming my guy rebel, i'm giving him to my cousin for christmas, my aunt got me a 30g tank and my parents said that i already have too many tanks so i couldn't start my 30g until i got rid of one tank, i really didn't want to downsize any of my bettas so i decided easiest would be to rehome one and since rebel is the healthiest he gets a new home - i plan on buying the tank (2.5g - he's in a 3g now and prefers small tanks, flipped out in my 5g) a filter (whisper3i, what he has now), the tank set comes with water conditioner and i have some more sample sizes she can have, and i'm buying food (hikari betta biogold, what he's on now) - now i'm just looking for a heater. i'd like the cheapiest one possible but i want one that will last because i don't know if she'll buy a new one if it gives out (she's 19 but sees them just as fish, she doesn't get it yet, lol)

he has a top fin heater right now, all of my tanks do and i'm pleased with them. petsmart has this heater which is cheaper and the right size for his tank

has anyone used this before or know anything about it, any ideas would be great!!! thanks!

(oh and i plan on check ups on him atleast every other week, lol, gonna miss my boy)

I have been using the Elite Mini heaters. Just ordered another 2 last night. One for me, one for my cousin's new tank!

http://www.amazon.com/Elite-Submersi.../dp/B00106X8Z2

If you order 2 and a thermometer you can get free shipping! I like them because even though it says "preset" it is actually adjustable.

Not sure about the one you posted. Sorry I can't help more with that.

I've used similar http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...ductId=4134008
but I have to say it's fairly unreliable, in my 2.5 gal I've had it go down to about 70 at night.
I've had this one for about a week, but so far it's kept the temperature at 80 +- 1 degree. For the short time I've had it I'm very pleased with it. http://www.amazon.com/Hydor-THEO-Sub.../dp/B0006JLPG8

I have a Marineland Stealth Pro 10-watt (that first one you linked to) in my guy's 2.5-gallon and I'm really liking it. My room's pretty cold oftentimes and it keeps his tank steady at 80F throughout the day, even at night. The lowest I've ever seen it at was 79F.

In fact, I'm considering getting a second male and a female (at least the female for sure) and have every intention of using the same model in their tanks while they're in the smaller ones. The heater isn't adjustable, but it's been working great so I haven't been concerned about that fact.
