On monday my papa went to the hospital for chest pain. He was convinced it was just his esophagus and that everything was fine. Turns out it was a heart attack (Healthy cardiac level is .07 and his was at 21) and that, should any more happen, he runs the risk of not being saved.
He's home safely now, but on top of this news, I was diagnosed with shingles today along with a self-diagnosed flu (Aches and running a low-grade fever). Since shingles is contagious, I have to get a doctor's note, bring it to work, and stay off work until things clear up. This can take 2-4 weeks.
I have a doctor's note to be off until the 22nd of this month, so I'm hoping they don't dump me. I'll at least have a good paycheck for the next 2 weeks already set up since I've got 40 hours on it already.
I'll probably check in a few days before I'm able to return to make sure I'm still expected to return and check the schedule.
Thanks for your concern Rosso. I'll be trying to take it easy for the next few weeks, but so far my boyfriend doesn't plan on letting me rest too much. He knows it's contagious, but doesn't care. I don't know whether to think it's sweet or clingy.
I'm probably just gonna write up a resume in the mean time just in case they do (This McDonald's is incredibly unprofessional). I might apply at a few vet offices so I can get more into the field where I plan to stay for the rest of my career life.
