I finished a hat yesterday, started a fingerless mitt and screwed up at the end so I had to frog it, worked on the shawl more. Today I worked on the shawl and made a hat (which I was not happy about how it turned out). I was thinking about working on another couple of rows on the shawl before I put the knitting down for the night, but I'm too scared to. Today has been "everything go wrong day" so I didn't want to mess up the shawl.
Third times the charm. I finally figured out that poorly written fingerless glove pattern. I made one and I'll make another tomorrow. After that, I'll be finding a new pattern for future fingerless mitts.
I thought I'd share my first piece. I just started last night, and finished it today. It's a little coin purse. I'm very proud of myself. I haven't even attempted to crochet since I was about 12ish. I was doing it wrong, so I was always frustrated. Now that my mom should me the PROPER way to do it, I'm having a blast. Here are my progress photos and the finished product.
