I can't believe I just read every single thread on this section. It's nice to know more about everyone. So I guess it's my turn to be known;
Hi everyone,
Name is Iim (read: Ee-im) from Indonesia which is in South East Asia (below Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines). I've loved animals and nature in general ever since I can remember and have had quite a few pets through the years, mainly feathered and finned. My main interest is breeding - I don't keep what I can't breed except for dogs.
I've fallen in love with bettas since the day I knew them (early 70's) and have kept them when ever I can. I even smuggled one over seas (not knowing it was smuggling) when we moved to Australia. I began breeding (whatever) since the early 80's after we were back home.
I've learned a lot on genetics since I joined this forum. Now I understand more on how they work (though not totally) and hope I can pass on what I know to others, specially new hobbyists/breeders so this hobby can expand and ensure their existence since their habitat is constantly being destroyed in the name of development.
I'd better stop before I stray too far.
