Had to use some self-control today...

Stopped by Petco today to pick up some water conditioner and to see if they were foolish enough to get "baby bettas". Luckily no babies....yet. However whoever cupped the new shipment labeled them all wrong! There were deltas labeled as VT's and HM's labeled as Deltas. OMG! it was so tempting to buy one, or two or even three! There was this really pretty delta labeled as a VT that was a green/gold grizzle color. I wanted him so bad! However with my VT from Chard coming and Karen Mc Auley's HMPK babies, one of which I plan on getting (hehe) I knew I'd be threatened with eviction. So I left him and all the other beauties behind. It was tough but I triumphed over temptation

Good job! They must have been very hard to resist. Practicing self-control is important though.

When you're a betta addict you have to learn self control. lol Otherwise we'd end up with hundreds! lol At least I would. I'd get evicted, too. lol

I find it is easier to control myself shortly after I have bought a few. Not that I am advocating buying them, lol. The threat of eviction also helps.

Also having the help and restraint of a loved one also helps. If it wasn't for my boyfriend, I'd have about..two more bettas to add to my collection. I'd love more, personally, but since we live in a bedroom with no room...Yeah, not an option for more pets.

my petco often mislabels halfmoons as Deltas, and HM double tails as normal double tails D: It's always so temping, luckily I tend to be a little picky about color.... that's my way of not buying a whole bunch lol

Ha ha! I totally understand! Everytime I go to the pet store, i end up looking at the bettas. I always want to buy a new one! especialy the girls i think they are so cute. I already have a boy at home and I dont think I have the room or the money to take care of another betta. maybe someday!
