HELP!!!

i need to know if my 2yr old betta is depressed. he only sits at the bottom and doesnt get up a lot. should i introduse a 10g tank with a 1g tank airston!!!HURRY!!!

How big is your tank right now, and what is the temperatue of the water?

Bettas become very lethargic if they have water under 76 degrees.

maybe its cold water. Try raising the temp a bit and if he doesnt improve then he could be just aging. Also try holding up a mirror so he can see his reflection and flare. I do this when my betta is bored. Bettas dont really get depressed though becasue they are solitary and enjoy their space. About getting another tank, Im sure he'd love an upgrade. He'll have more room to swim and enjoy him self.

What are your water parameters? Maybe he needs a water change.
