I was just thinking that it might be a cool idea to have some system where spawn logs can be color coded based on the success of that spawn. It might help for people looking for specific types of logs.
Green: All good. Everyone is happy. Daddy never ate the eggs. The cultures are still alive. The juveniles have been sent off to new owners.
Yellow: Caution. Ick? Velvet? Hydras?!? Cracked tanks and power outages! Yellow threads need help and attention NOW. Surely someone knows how to hatch BBS.
Red: Failure. Pour a jar of NLS on the sidewalk for the fallen. Dad got hungry. That cute HMPK female was actually an angry male. You tried to clean your fry with J&J baby shampoo. Sometimes they just plain die.
A coding system like this might be helpful. The more sensitive readers can just look at the cute pictures and stay away from the threads where 100 fry are found dead the next morning. New breeders who want to plan for every possible outcome can learn from people's mistakes. We can all strive for GREEN spawns.
This could also be helpful in the sick fish forum.
Green: Dropsy? What Dropsy?
Yellow: His eye keeps getting bigger! Should i feed him a pea?
Red: He dead....
PS:
Yellow might need to be
Orange, because
YELLOW is pretty hard to read...
