Smile Introducing my new 'giant' betta - Butcher (pic heavy)

I had him for about a week now, but I had couldn't find my camera memory card lol
A bit of a horror story with this one, I was away from home for a few days and I left his food out and instructed my mother on how to feed him. Turns out that she thought that giving him only four pellets per feeding was cruel, so she went ahead and dumped in a huge pinch of pellets whenever she fed him.

I get home and find the floor of his tank is literally coated with a layer of uneaten food, so I do an emergency water change, and with my luck, his heater decides to explode as I'm changing the water, and the shops were closed when it happened.
So he went overnight with the temperature dropping and I noticed the change in his activity and colour.

Anyway, today I went and got him a brand new heater and since I was out, got myself a new memory card as well :)

lol I realised afterwards with the flash how dirty the outside of the tank was

Wow, he's got some amazing colors! I'm finding the ones with the scattering of scales on their bodies are some of the prettiest! <3

Hahaha, I have the same feeding problem with my dad- I have to hide my fish food or else he overfeeds my fish while I'm at school because I'm "torturing" the fish. xD
