Danios & Betta?

So have 2 danios and my betta, can the danios bite his tail and nip at it?

Danios do best in groups of 5-6+ and need 15g tanks or larger for swimming. They are active fish. Larger numbers brings down the aggression a bit but from my experience they are quite territorial of the top 3rd of the tank which includes where Bettas eat and breathe. I wouldn't trust my Danios with a Betta fish honestly. They do tend to be a nippy fish, mine nip at their tank mates but the tank mates I have are small fast fish. A Betta would be much slowler and may not be able to avoid the slight attacks.
