why is there 3 needles ? and not circulars ?

I just found a fingerless mitt pattern and modified it for a long arm warmer instead. :)

There is actually 4, they are double pointed needles or DPNs. You use those for smaller projects like socks, mitts, arm warmers, closing up hats, things like that. You can also do the magic loop with a long circular needle, I just haven't tried that yet.

Oh, and who else can't help but laugh/giggle when they hear someone say that some of the yarn at Hobby Lobby or Michaels is expensive? I'm just like....are you kidding me?

xD well I thought at $5 at michaels was expensive, i guess i was wrong xD
