Anyway, as they've said, just watch her behavior. trying to fallow the male,head down, not trying to attack

It's a little more than that but you're on the right track.
A female displaying the behavior you mentioned my be very stressed by sight of the male.
You want to look for interest in the male, dancing and some flaring.

It's such a great thing to experience the courting... best of luck!

Not all females will flare.
Generally stressed fish will have stress stripes which are pretty obvious and not something i felt I needed to mention there be alack of. My girls tend to try fallow..which i guess can be taken as dancing o.o a female darting around is more likely stressed or willing to attack.
but it's mostly the males i have who do the dancing. xD
oh, yeah, good luck,would love to see pictures of the pair.
