Norman loves his cherry shrimp.

...in a "come back here and let me eat you!!" sort of way.

Got these little guys today, and he has been after them like crazy ever since. So far, they're too fast for him, but if he gets one cornered, they're going to be noms. I'm not too broken up over it, since they were just an experiment anyway (and I got a good deal on them). It's hilarious watching him try to get them -- little buggers are FAST. Lucky for them, LOL!

They've got plenty of places to hide, nooks and crannies he can't get into, so we'll see how they do. They just better not let their guard down. ;)

Now with video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlAgM...ature=youtu.be

One brave little shrimp faced down the Big Bad Betta and lived to tell the tale.

Lol that's so cute and hilarious! I love how he stares at the shrimp at the end like, "IT'S NOT OVER..." xD

LOL, I cracked up at that too!

I've been watching him this morning. I don't think he's even trying to eat them. He just likes chasing after them. He'll swim up to one, nip at it to make it swim, then chase it across the tank until he loses sight of it or it turns around to glare at him. Once they turn and stare at him, he swims away. Silly fish.

But...he must LOVE his new buddies and the live plants, because he had TWO bubble nests this morning. He hasn't started one since the week I got him, so I'd say this is a success. :)

I'd say he's found himself a new game :)

Definitely.

I'm not sure how much the shrimp are enjoying this new game, though. Every time they do their turn-around-and-glare bit, I imagine them cussing at him and shaking their little "fists."

I love the way my shrimp will just be drifting through the water, then one will land on a betta by accident and shoot back about six inches. You can practically hear them screaming, "Oh my goodness, what was THAT?!"
