help with painting :P

i am a BIG halo fan, i got a pink air assualt female spartan : (this is not my pic)

and i want to paint the figure over with paint, i bought this paint from micheals but it dosen't dry, so i used my mom's harden nail polish thing, it dried but it gets scratched off easliy , does anyone know what paint that dries and stays on halo figures

also can you tell me a brand, and how good was the paint and did it stay. make sure it is from micheals or any other place in chicago illnois

Hm. Well, they have that folk art craft paint. The paint is very thin bodied so it will not look clumpy and gloopy on the figure. It dries too of course lol. There actually is special type paint you can buy at hobby lobby sometimes or other hobby stores that is made for customizing models and such. As far as preventing scratches, maybe you can seal it with a matte based sealant, usually in the acrilics paint section. I say matte because it will make it not as plasticy shiny as the paint would be and it wouldn't be glossy and weird. Should protect the paint too! Good luck! :)

ok, i think i got the cheap acrylic paint because i used it and the new one i bought peels right off (or you softly rub against it it comes off >.>), the old one scratches easily also can you give me a brand name? i'll look for it in hobby stores (i think my mom will know where hobby stores are)
