I use these.

Cheap, tiny and they work well. They come in 7.5, 15, 30 and 60 watt. For a 2.5 gallon get the Betta Stik.

After having multiple Elite submersibles last less then 2 months each I wont touch them again. Currently in use I have only Jager's that I bought new & I also have a marineland & 2 tettra's that came with tanks I bought used.

I use Marineland Visitherm. 25w can be used in 2g. Hydor Theo are recommended a lot but I don't have personal experience with them.

Is a 25w adjustable safe to use in a 1g?? I got a non-adjustable mini bow 10w when I picked up Bowser and it turned his water up to 85F o.O Now I want to trade the heaters

I just got a new betta and I'm reading that they DO need a heater after all...after I've heard/read that they don't. We have a 1 gallon large vase w/ a live aquatic plant for him, but since the environment isn't that big, does anyone know what watt/kind of heater I should use? We had a betta a couple years ago that I never used a heater and he lived for about 2 years. I would like to have this one longer and keep him comfortable. :)

I use one from walmart its only around $15 and I use it often in 1g tanks. It heats to around 76 or 77.
