Exclamation Nitrites To High!

I put in some "Betta Revive" as well as changed 1/4 of Cosmo's water. he's swimming fine and doesn't show any alarming signs accept some possible fin rot. I'm not saying it is, but his dorsal fin is separated just a tad. Note that he is a Veil-Tail betta.

Please let me know what I should do to resolve the situation.

Doing water changes are all that's needed to reduce nitrites. What is the ammonia and nitrates? Are they down after the water change?
I have no idea why you added Betta Revive.. that's got a lot of random heavy hitting meds thrown together and really isn't good to start treating for everything under the sun, especially when all you have wrong is possibly a minor case of fin rot likely caused by bad water anyway.

Please fill this out:

Quote:
Housing
What size is your tank?
What temperature is your tank?
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
How often do you feed your betta fish?

Maintenance
How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?

That is actually all I needed to know. Along with other sources, water changes seems to be the best answer.
