What a great forum, so much info. :) I have had Betta since the early 80's. Wow how times have changed from then for these wonderfin fish. I just got all caught up on the info over the weekend. My daughter asked to get a new one after several months. Hers passed after 2 1/2 years with us.

I went to get a new filter and found that some of the 10 gal set ups in a box weren't much more. So we now have one of those with a heater and 2 snails. Then after the tank had been set up a bit we went and picked out her new friend.

So thanks for all the great info, for saving and making one more fin a tad happier in a large happy home.

Hello and welcome to the forum

Twinkles is a very pretty boy. I never really know what the true colors of my fish are until they get into a proper home. Especially when the stores add the blue anti-bacterial stuff to the cups.

Thanks all. Almost 48 hours and he is now a deeper color. I am just amazed now to get his fins growing and repaired.
