Sakura8, I will be around and whenever you are ready I will be glad to help you. I don't need that much information so it won't be tons of footwork for you or anything. Just an email so when your ready message me or email me and I can let you know what I need to start. I don't need you or your parents information either so it isn't dangerous for you or anyone involved. Most records after 1940 are not available for me due to the privacy act so I don't try to bother with parents and individual info. It doesn't help much. With adoptions after 1940 I would need your parents but that goes a bit deeper than that as we both know.
Thanks for the compliments. I really enjoy doing this stuff. It's a nice feeling to be able to help someone in something that can be so aggrivating. I like seeing the look of surprise in a persons face when they discover something unique well, except for people I have helped entirely on line. I do, do it for the people but in the long run every person I help ups my experience and I learn new things too so it's fun for me on two levels.

My favorite thing Genealogy led me to do was return documents I bought at an antique shop to their family. They traveled all the way from Oklahoma to Ohio to get them. I spoke to this lady (also adopted) that wanted to surprise her mother with the documents I found. One of them belong the womans grandfather and her mom didn't even know her dad that well before he died.
I got to hand the documents to her and as I was shaking and all giddy, she cryed and hugged me. That was the best feeling. Then, she asked me why I was so nice and why I wanted to give them back to them. I had no idea what to say first. She was so surprised that a stranger cared that much and that made me want to help more people. I want at least a few people to know someone is still willing to help in some way. It feels good to help someone.
