Thanks! I'm doing partial water changes everyday and keeping the water level lower in the tank, with the air pump and the water level higher it creates a faster current it seems. Or it might rather disturb the surface more, but either way he is swimming with much more ease and even lounges on the silk plants in the back right near the surface so its easy to get air. I hope this all goes over well. I don't want poor Goblin to go to fishie heaven!
Once this is all said and done hoping to find a RCS or snail to help with the algae that will grow. :)

Depending on his temperament he may show aggression towards the RCS and think of him as dinner. Start with a cheaper alternative like a ghost shrimp which are like 30 cents for use as an experiment. If he goes after the Ghosty, he will surely try to gobble up the RCS.

Ahhhh okay. A mystery snail would do the same thing though too? I'm trying to do less on the bioload, which is why I was leaning towards shrimp more.

Well mystery snail craps like no other. They poo more then they clean, haha. He will surely spike your bioload....

Shrimp may work, all depends on your males temperament. My male killed all the shrimp in his 5. I could actually hear his snout bumping hard inside the tank, he was going after them like food.

Yeah I'll try out a shrimp or two in a couple weeks. If he eats them no big deal. There are plenty of hiding spots in the tank now. :)
