betta with ghost shrimp

I don't know if this question has been asked before but I have a 2.5 gallon tank with one betta in it right now. I was wondering if it would be okay if I went and got 1 ghost shrimp to put in with him... and if so is there anything special i should do

It depends on if your betta will accept a tank mate. Some will and some won't. One of my males managed to evict a ghost shrimp (found it white and very dry beside my tank one morning), but both males are now living with three ghost shrimp each. I have several in my sorority with 8 females without a problem, the main worry there is the girls stealing their food rather than attacking them.

Your best bet is to simply try it and see if your fish will mind or not, just make sure to have some hidey holes for the shrimp.

thank you for the advice I went and got two ghost shrimp and aclmated them to the tank and my betta doesn't have a problem with them I don't even think he knows they are there.

They can blend very well because they have no little color, so he might not have even seen them yet. Mine definitely know there's shrimp but luckily just don't mind them, except as I said, to steal their food XD

As long as there are hiding places for the shrimp,everything should be okay.

I just have one ghost shrimp left and he is in the 29 gallon tank,which makes him even more impossible to find half the time...haha. I was considering putting him in one of the betta tanks though.
