Roosters appearence change!

Ok so I've always heard about bettas going to a brighter or richer color after being well cared for. But what is the difference between that and marbleing?

Rooster when I first got him:

Your boy is a marble. ^^ The 'butterfly' is almost compeatly gone.

Coloring up is when the colors just become more vivid because they're not stressed anymore. This can happen in just a few minutes/hours or a few days depending on the fish

marbles, their color and/or patterns change over time. This takes a few days/weeks/months xD And they're almost always changing though some will 'settle' into butterfly or solids when they're older.

Thank you :) I'm trying to find a female that would be good for him.. but apperently there arent very many HM females around atm.. Even at the petstores! :/ Guess Rooster is going to have to wait another month or two.
