Hi there!
I stumbled across this forum while trying to find more information about proper care for betta... It seems I came to the right place. :)
I recently adopted my first betta from a Walmart, and quickly followed with another from a small town pet store (ironically to me, the pet store betta seems more like a rescue than the Walmart one... :/). I'd been going by my memory of how a former roommate cared for her betta, but found that I didn't really know as much as I thought. Just reading over some of the posts here helped me learn quite a bit more! So, thank you all for your informative posts and helpful nature, and it's nice to meet you all!
So, now that I've sorta semi-introduced myself, here are my boys~
This is Kipposhi, the Walmart-bought Veiltail.

-- I bought him Monday, and he's quite the active chap.
And this is the pet-store rescue, Jubei.

--I got him only a couple days ago, and this is how he looked in his tiny cup that I bought him in, too. He's really timid right now, but I hope that as he adjusts to the bigger environment, he perks up. :)... I'm also hoping that his coloring is how he was bred, and not a disease that I haven't recognized...
Both are in smaller bowls at the moment, but I'm planning to move Kipposhi to a tank I bought today soon, and find another tank for Jubei when he seems more adjusted, and a bit healthier.
