Is he dying? :c

Okay, so I just got Clint Eastwood yesterday. His cup was cloudy with little particles. He wasn't moving too much but he didn't look as bad as half the bettas there at Petco. Anyways, I just moved him to his 1 gallon today and he was very perky and active. He's been eating okay too. However, I just noticed him laying there at the bottom of his tank. It looks like he's resting but it's making me very uneasy and worried because I have never seen him do this till right now.

And when I tap the glass a little he rushes to the surface with his gills flared and he blows bubbles. After doing so, he sinks back down to the gravel :(

(he's flaring in this one)

Humm... he looks a little weird at the bottom of the tank like that, is he lying on his side? Did you acclimate him properly before putting him in the tank? Did you use conditioner in the water?
