Well it looks as tho im going to have to buy a new set up for breeding my bettas! Misery is constantly building bubble nests which dont last that long and he gets irate! This morning woke up and sat having my coffee noticed a female betta and him doing a little dance under the latest bubble nest. Who am i to stop them? Il help them along and see what colors i can get out from them and maybe some of my local fish stores may come to an agreement and i get a return. The pics are of the pair, she follows him everywhere! if he flares she flares back and runs off haha ( Misery, the male and Georgina the female)

Are you purposely trying to breed Bettas, or just letting these two live together?

From other posts, they have 5 females in with a male in a community tank.

I would like to say that I am glad you are taking interest in breeding but you seriously should research. It sounds to me like you would like to raise fry and sell them and everything else, but there are precautions you have to take when ever considering to breed bettas or aggressive fish in general. Do you have homes for them? Will you be able to house 40-70 fry on average? Do you know what tail types you can and should not mix? Do you know what a real quality betta should look like? These are some of the many questions you should be able to answer before breeding.

I am not being rude and just hope that if the male is in fact in the tank with the female you should take my advice and remove him.

Even if they do breed in a community tank, the fry will be eaten, so it's a waste of time if you really do want a spawn. Please do your homework first.

Please do your research before buying another tank for breeding. There is a LOT to consider before breeding, not just that the two like each other. Keeping males and females in the same tank for extended periods of time can be disastrous.
