Hello forum members
Just a quick question... my water temp is at 86 degrees, this is not by choice, it is just a result of my location. Could this be harmful? Rocky seems very happy.
Its on the high end bu it should be alright considering there's nothing you can really do about it. They do make chillers for marine aquariums but I don't think you'd find one small enough for a betta tank.
Thank you Kelly
I am expecting the temp to drop a few degrees soonish. We are in the middle of a 'late' summer and it is stinking hot. Hopefully it will cool down a bit soon and that should drop the tank temp too.
I think some people float frozen or very cold water bottles in their tanks when the water gets too hot. I do know what you mean by a late summer though. We're supposed to hit 40 degrees tomorrow *wilts*.
Lol yes I do mean celsius. So far it has rained and been cool all summer and the hot weather has only just kicked in the last few days here in Coffs. Time for the beach I thinks
I have heard of people using fans off computers to blow air across the surface of the tank to cool them down.If you think its worth making, you can buy a cheap computer PSU and plug some case fans into it and rig up something to place them next to the tank.
Tomsk
