I've heard that you should put aquarium salt in the tank. How often do you put in it? I assume you dilute it 1st, or just throw it in tank? Thanx!

Welcome to the forum....

Aquarium salt (sodium chloride) is not needed long term-it is a great product to use for treatments for the right reason, dosage and duration...so its good to have some on hand....

Long term use with this species can cause kidney damage and long term use in general can create resistant issue...

Backing OFL on this one.. regular use of AQ salt is not recommended for the reasons stated above. To be on the safe side, keep it around for emergencies, but putting your guy in it long term can cause more harm, without doing any good.
